Earlier this month, we were delighted to contribute a prize of a bespoke short animation to the auction at the 4th Annual JDR Hartlepool Charity Ball.
The event, which was held at Hardwick Hall Hotel on Friday 17th June, was raising money for the charity Hartlepool Families First which JDR has been supporting throughout the year.
Hartlepool Families First is a charity that runs a vast array of projects which support all kinds of people in Hartlepool. Their projects include the social enterprise One77, which offers a range of social, practical teaching and learning opportunities to disadvantaged young people and the Fun, Food and Friendship luncheon group which is aimed at vulnerable adults over the age of 55.
Throughout the evening the 200 attendees enjoyed a three course meal, a raffle, an auction and outstanding entertainment from the students of the Debbie Barrass Performing Arts Academy.
The prize we contributed eventually sold for £2000; the highest ever amount of money raised by a single item in the history of the event.
Although the amount raised by the evening is yet to be confirmed, it looks likely that it has been another hugely successful year for the event.
JDR hope that the money will buy the charity a new mini-bus.
We’re so proud to have helped to raise such a significant sum for this excellent cause and we can’t wait to work with the winner on their project.
